Keep Active

Run, run like a dog on the run from the pound
Hop, hop like a hare on the run from a wolf
Walk, walk like a human being, who is lazy
To capture, to pounce, to ride this long road out

The dog on the run, decided to take a shortcut
Runs into cats with authority over their property
A man with a muzzle keeps persisting the young mut
The cats decide to help the pup out by dressing him in brush
When the cats start to snicker, they stare down the muzzle man
The man decides enough is enough and take a hand
Picks up one of the cats, heads to his van
The heroic dog runs, trips the man and starts running again

Run, run like a dog on the run from the pound
The dog helped a fellow cat who showed him remorse
While the dog may never have an endorsement
To capture the dog, is nothing but a curvy course

The hare on the run, decided to take a shortcut
Runs into a pack of wolves, and starts to hop with authority
Each wolf need a muzzle to cover up those teeth
The hare darts for an underbrush, and begins to wait
Night is approaching and the wolves are very hungry
They finally fall asleep so the hare makes its escape
The hare noticed a young wolf who looked like he's been on the run
From a pound and lets the hare run out into the landscape

Hop, hop like a hare on the run from a wolf
The hare met a mut who let him continue to run
While the hare may never seen another sunset
To pounce on a hare, is nothing but survival of the fittest

To walk like a dinosaur, to walk to the convenient store
To walk can be lazy, to walk can be healthy
Instead of being more active, everyone starts excited
Loses hope so quickly and starts walking attentively
Staying active will make you less lazy
Running, hopping and walking can sound dopey
But staying put sound mediocre and deadly

Walk, walk like a human being, who is lazy
Never stop being active like a dinosaur
Be a dog or a hare and be proactive
To walk like a dinosaur, is nothing but a lazy course

This is one of my longer poems/songs. I had fun writing it, but it does seem odd. I talked about many different animals and each had different traits. If you sing this more to Swing Swing by American Rejects, you get the idea I was going for.

I hope you enjoy!
